Program of weekend tour to parks in Chernigov region

07:45 – 08:00	Gathering the group near the railway station Yuzhniy in Kiev. Arrival by the minibus Mercedes (20 seats).
08:00 – 11:30 11:30 – 14:00	Departure to Kachanovka. Excursion to museum and park. Каchanovka is the unique Ukrainian noble estate that was established in 1770 and hold in one complex. During two hundred years this estate changed more than one dozen of owners — from general’s esaul Ivan Lomikovskiy to loads of manor Tarnovskiy who gave the modern look to Kachanovka. It’s a wonder that there are harmonious unite of large and small ponds, arbors and shady paths, wonderful apple and cherry orchards, a lot of wings and small bridges, covered with legends halls of love and faith on the bank of Large Pond.
14:00 – 14:15	Moving to Trostyanets. National dendrological park “Trostyanets” is the outstanding masterpiece of the landscape art in the end of ХІХ century. The founder of this park was Ivan Skoropadskiy (1804-1887), who’s wife became Elizabeth Tarnavskaya, a kinswoman of Kachanovka’s owner. A cherished dream of Skoropadskiy was the creation of landscape park in English stile.
14:15 – 16:00	Excursion to park. Settled on the farm Trostyanets Skoropadskiy realized his dream a short time late. A considerable distance from other settlements, billowy locality with ravines, pond, centuries-old oaks, a fertile black earth – all these greatly met his requirements. The building of park started in 1834. The foundation was about 300 old oaks and a small river Trostyanets that gave the name to park. After soviet power came the park was under the jurisdiction of local state farm. In 1940 the park was reorganized to dendrological reserve and in 1951 it became structural unit of Central botanical garden Academy of science USSR. A dendrological park "Trostyanets", a magic nook of the landscape art and museum, is famous well out of Ukraine.
16:00 – 17:00	Moving to Sokirintsy. Excursion to park. Sokirinskiy park is an outstanding monument of Ukrainian landscape art. It was established in the beginning of XIX century. Sokirintsy - noble estate of family Galagan, grand by king to Gnat Galagan in 1716. The founder of Sokirintsy estate and park was а colonel G.G. Galagan from Priluki, a brother-in-arms in Poltava war of Peter the First. A wonderful ancient palace and English landscape park with lakes, park buildings and sculptures is the real monument of art, pearl of architectural Ukrainian necklace.
17:00 – 20:00	Returning to Kiev.
